Currently Seeking

We are currently seeking qualified Maintenance personnel to join our team at Myrtle Beach Travel Park. The Maintenance Department is responsible performing the various maintenance duties and upkeep of the campground. This position is 40+ hours a week. Evenings and weekends are required. On-call hours as needed.

Some job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide open communication to Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Complete regular campground inspections.
  • Always represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Ensure all company appearance and safety standards are always met.
  • Report maintenance concerns directly to supervisor or management and perform all necessary repairs as instructed.
  • Complete work in an efficient, timely, and safe manner.
  • Work with Maintenance Supervisor in execution of a preventative maintenance schedule for the campground.
  • Perform repairs: carpentry, plumbing, grounds, electrical, painting…
  • Always provide excellent customer service to all guests.
  • Respond to customer requests and concerns promptly with the upmost care and concern.
  • Ensure common all lawn and common areas are well manicured. Including, but not limited to, treating for weeds, weed eating, raking leaves, planting trees/ flowers/shrubs, spreading mulch, trimming hedges and shrubs, cut and remove tree limbs as needed.
  • Ensure trash & debris is picked up from around the campground daily.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years hands-on work experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, is required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work with heavy equipment daily.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record. (CDL license is a plus.)
  • RV Park experience a plus.

Myrtle Beach Travel Park is looking for fun, energetic and team oriented General Store Associate. Our General Store Associates are essential to the operation of our General Store which supplies our guests with essential items.

Some job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide outstanding guest service at every opportunity. Must be able to assist guest with any problems or
    questions that they may have.
  • Must be able to work mornings as well as evenings up to 10:00pm (during summer season).
  • Must be able to be a team player and work with a team. We want to have fun as well as get the job done!
  • Must be able to stand on your feet for several hours at a time.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to take constructive criticism are a must.
  • Any additional duties as assigned
  • Required to have Lifeguard Certification through the American Red Cross.
  • Ensures the safety of swimmers.
  • Maintains discipline at the pool facility.
  • Enforces water safety and pool rules.
  • Provides lifesaving and emergency services to swimmers in distress.
  • Maintains swimming pools and facilities.
  • Cleans pools, decks and surroundings on a regular basis.
  • Answers questions from pool guests and explains facility rules.
  • Ensures that the first aid kit is at the designated area and assists an injured guest with first aid attention.
  • Completes an incident report on an injured guest.
  • Assists with closing pools and cleaning pools and decks.
  • Closes pools and reopens in the event of thunder or lightning.
  • Empties trash cans and ashtray urns.
  • Lays down all lounge chairs, drop umbrellas and wash decks at closing.
  • Puts batteries of ADA chair lifts on charges for next day.
  • Locks entrance gates and turns off lights in bathhouse restrooms at closing.

We are currently seeking qualified Housekeeping personnel to join our team at Myrtle Beach Travel Park  

 The Housekeeping position is responsible for performing various housekeeping duties to ensure that our rentals and facilities are clean and tidy and that our guests have a top-notch experience at the campground.  This position is 40+hours a week. Evenings and weekends are required. 

Job duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Provide open communication to Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor. 
  • Complete regular campground rental inspections. 
  • Always represent the company in a professional manner. 
  • Ensure all company appearance and safety standards are always met. 
  • Report maintenance & safety concerns directly to the Supervisor or Maintenance Manager. 
  • Respond to calls for housekeeping. 
  • Complete work in an efficient, timely, and safe manner. 

Work closely with the cleaning company to ensure the following duties are completed and ready for our guests. 

  • Clean the Rentals, Bathhouses, Laundry Facility, Offices, and public access areas. This includes post-event/activity cleanup efforts.  
  • Sweeps, scrubs, mops and polishes floors. 
  • Vacuums carpets, rugs and draperies. 
  • Shampoos carpets, rugs and upholstery. 
  • Dusts and polishes furniture and fittings. 
  • Cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers. 
  • Wipes down glass surfaces. 
  • Makes up beds and changes linens as required. 
  • Launder mattress covers, pillow covers, and cleaning towels. 

Qualifications 

  • 1-3 years in a housekeeping or equivalent role. 
  • Knowledge of cleaning supplies and products 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs 
  • Stand for long periods of time and work in small tight areas. 
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record. 
  • RV Park experience a plus. 

We will have a new addition to the campground this year with our coffee camper! The coffee camper will be called “The Beachy Bean”. Employees working in the “Beachy Bean” will be responsible for making coffees and iced coffees as well as serve fresh pastries to guests. This will be a breakfast/lunch shift. 

Requirements

  • Must be able to stand long periods of time.
  • Maintains cleanliness in workspace
  • Assists with making coffee drinks.
  • Has an extensive knowledge of the menu and how to prepare each menu item. 
  • Work a register 
  • Have excellent customer service skills
  • Work well in a fast paced environment. 

Our recreation team has a lot of fun facilitating our activities for the summer!

Myrtle Beach Travel Park is looking for fun, energetic, team oriented, and outgoing recreation staff member.  A position in recreation is a full-time seasonal position that will require nights, weekends, and summer holidays (Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day). 

Some job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Implementing pool games/ other events that take place around the campground
  • Ability to interact well with others in a team environment.
  • Interacts daily with guest of all ages
  • Speak publicly using a microphone to announce pool games and other events that maybe taking place.
  • Ensure all equipment is working properly for all events/ activities
  • Maintain campground bulletin boards
  • Maintain safety procedures during all activities/ events
  • Assist in preparation/set up for all activities and events.
  • Assist in general cleaning and maintenance of all recreation facilities.
  • Provide outstanding guest service at every opportunity.
  • Asset in light office work (printing, folding, and stuffing weekly welcome packets)
  • Any additional duties as assigned

IT Intern

Information Technology (IT) Intern Duties and Responsibilities

  • In-house web application development (coding, testing, documenting)
  • Provide support to staff for computer systems and software
  • Provide technical assistance to guests
  • Monitor network and systems performance and troubleshoot any issues
  • Research and recommend solutions for technical problems

Information Technology (IT) Intern Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience with various programming languages
  • General knowledge of networking and system security
  • General knowledge of Windows-based computer systems and Microsoft 365 software
  • Strong  analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team

Activities/Recreation Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and direct recreational activities and special events for all age groups. 
  • Prepare and maintain areas for activities (seating, equipment, supplies etc.) 
  • Assist in creating activity schedules for distribution to the park guests and encourage guest participation. 
  • Maintain all activity bulletins located through out the park. 
  • Assist with any other campground duties as directed by Park Management. 

Job Qualifications: 

  • Participate in studies associated with recreation, tourism, physical education, or another closely related degree field
  • A valid driver license. 
  • Reliable transportation to and from work 
  • Ability to effectively communicate written and verbally. 
  • Strong public relation skills 
  • Ability to direct and lead staff and guests in recreational activities. 
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, must have initiative and ability to solve problems. 
  • Be a team player. 
  • Ability to work morning, mid, or night shifts as needed for activities. 
  • Ability to work outside for majority of the workday.
  • Knowledge of safety issues: ability to conduct activities, special events, and programs in a safe and appropriate manner.
  • Must have administrative skills to operate office equipment. Knowledge of publisher, excel, word, PowerPoint etc. 
  • Ability to purchase and maintain an inventory of equipment and supplies. 
  • Ability to lift fifty pounds.
